Meet the team

naomi - NCD

Naomi Czuba

Having been a professional dancer all my adult life I wanted to give something back, and after having children I started to teach dance in schools at workshops and in studios. In January 2011 I founded KCD KidsCanDance a Street Dance & Creative Movement class for kids. I realised that there wasn’t anything in the local area that was cool and funky for kids and wanted something for my own girls to attend.

Our classes give kids the chance to experience commercial/street dance, hip-hop and contemporary dance styles without the pressure of competitions and the chance to enjoy dance classes for what they are. We focus on nurturing the child’s own unique dance style and encourage them to express themselves through movement. Each year they are given the opportunity to perform at various events including our annual dance show.

We also offer dance classes for adults who just love to dance. These are some of our most fun classes where adults can come together from all walks of life and dance in a non judgmental environment. We just get crazy!

Dance has always been and remains to be my passion. My aim is to be able to share this within the community and beyond.

Our mission statement at NCD is simple. “We aim to make dance fun and accessible for everyone, by providing easy to follow, affordable classes for all. Whilst enabling people to grow in confidence, learn, laugh, connect, share, loose and find themselves through their love of dance and music”

Good Vibes Only

Denny assists NCD on a Saturday morning liaising with the parents.

She is always there at the door to welcome the little ones and bring them back when you collect them.

Denny will help with any questions you may have regarding payment, class times, uniforms, costumes etc and is extremely helpful to both parents and the team at NCD.

What would we do without her!

Emily started gymnastics at the age of 4 and went on to become a national competitor and champion.

She competed in countries around the world including Barbados and Malta.

After retiring at age 18 Emily went on to coach gymnastics and has achieved multiple coaching qualifications.

She started coaching with NCD in September last year and has been such a great addition to NCD teaching team.

Steph started gymnastics at age 4 studying Artistic, Acro and Display.

She represented GB in the Gymnastrada when she was 16 and coached since the age of 13. She then went onto to train in Dance studying musical theatre, and has a Dance & Sports Science BA from Chester University.

Steph is also an exercise physiologist in cardiac/chronic conditions specializing in chair-based rehab exercise.

Steph has previously taught Zumba and now teaches fun adult classes at NCD. She’s a pocket rocket.

Maia has been with NCD for over 10 years joining our classes when she was just 7. She studied ballet and tap from the ages of 5-15 achieving grade 3 in both.

After leaving school Maia went on to study dance at West Herts College receiving a level 3 Diploma.

She returned to NCD to assist the team teaching our BEATS CREW and has now progressed to running her own class in Kings Langley. We are so very proud of her.

She brings such a great vibe to NCD and is always so much fun to be around. It’s great to see how far she has come since she started with us all those years ago.

Hermiyone has been dancing since the age of 5 taking Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Street Dance classes achieving Level 6 in Ballet and Intermediate in Tap.

She has recently started to focus on Contemporary dance achieving a Level 2 with Distinction.

She is extremely fond of working with our younger children and currently assists with our MINI, MAXI and BEATS CREWS, as well as still dancing, competing and performing with our ELITE CREW. The little ones absolutely adore Hermiyone. She has a natural way with the children and is fun, patient, calm, caring and loving. She is also a brilliant organiser and is taking a lead role in managing the NCD 2023 show!

We are very lucky to have her.

Sumi has been dancing since the age of 5 studying ballet for a short while before realising that she preferred the more creative and freestyle side of dance.

She now focuses on her Contemporary, Aero and Street Dance Styles. She has a natural flare for creating stunning choreography and assists in teaching and choreographing for our ELITE CREW, getting them ready for performances and more recently competitions.

Sumi is a force to be reckoned with and keeps everyone on their toes with her superb choreography.

She really has helped the ElITE CREW to grow in confidence and given them weekly challenges to build on their skills as young dancers and performers.
